Small Roman Concrete Planter

While the planter is suitable for indoor use, its 20-pound concrete construction is heavy and could scratch delicate surfaces. We recommend placing it on a protective plant stand or a felt-padded tray to prevent direct contact with your flooring.

The planter is crafted from raw, 100% concrete, which is naturally porous. If you plan to use it indoors, we suggest applying a concrete sealer to the interior to prevent moisture seepage or staining.

Acrylic enamel paint is the best choice for this material. It adheres well to concrete and provides a durable, weather-resistant finish that holds up both indoors and out.

The single drainage hole is sufficient for standard drainage, but because the planting area is 8 inches by 3 inches, it is best suited for plants that prefer well-draining soil. We recommend adding a layer of gravel or expanded clay pebbles at the bottom to ensure water flows freely through the hole.

The planter is weather-resistant, but concrete can be susceptible to cracking if water trapped inside the pot freezes and expands. To ensure longevity, we recommend moving it to a sheltered area or bringing it indoors during extreme winter freezes.
