This rack is specifically designed for standard Olympic-sized barbells. While some specialty bars with standard sleeves may fit, the spacing and tube depth are optimized for traditional Olympic bars, so wider or uniquely shaped bars may not sit properly.

The rack is designed to be stable on its own due to its 19-inch by 19-inch footprint and steel construction. However, if you are storing a full load of nine bars, bolting it down is recommended if you have uneven flooring or want to ensure zero movement when inserting or removing equipment.

The nylon plastic liners inside each storage tube act as a buffer between your barbell sleeves and the steel rack. This prevents the metal-on-metal contact that typically causes scratches, knurling damage, and finish wear on your bars.

Assembly is straightforward and typically requires only basic household tools like a wrench or socket set. You should expect to spend about 15 to 20 minutes putting the frame together.

Scratch and Dent items are fully functional and structurally sound, but they may have cosmetic imperfections like scuffs, paint chips, or minor dents from the manufacturing or shipping process. These aesthetic issues do not impact the rack's ability to safely store your barbells.
