While the Appelbar Towel is designed with high-quality organic cotton suitable for kitchen tasks, its absorbent, durable nature makes it a versatile textile. However, it lacks the non-slip backing or specific dimensions typically required for dedicated yoga or pilates mats.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification ensures that the towel is made from at least 95% organic fibers and has been processed according to strict environmental and social criteria, covering everything from chemical use to fair labor practices.

Ekelund’s organic cotton is known for its durability and longevity. With proper care—typically washing in warm water and avoiding harsh bleaches—the fabric retains its shape and softness over time.

The Appelbar design is woven directly into the fabric rather than printed on top. This means the pattern is visible on both sides, though the colors may appear slightly reversed or muted on the back.

To maintain the integrity of the organic cotton, machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colors. We recommend air drying or tumble drying on a low setting to prevent unnecessary wear.
