Because of this, you must use tubeless-ready tires that are specifically approved for hookless rims and operate within the recommended tire pressure limits.

The Giant SLR 1 Wheelsystem is highly versatile and compatible with Shimano 11-speed, SRAM XDR 12-speed, and Campagnolo drivetrains. You will simply need to ensure you have the correct freehub body installed for your specific groupset.

The 36mm rim depth is specifically engineered to offer a balance between aerodynamic efficiency and handling stability. This shallower profile is less susceptible to being pushed around by crosswinds compared to deeper-section wheels, making it a reliable choice for varied terrain and gusty days.

While these wheels are optimized for a tubeless setup to maximize puncture protection and comfort, they are designed as hookless clinchers. You can use inner tubes, provided you are using tubeless-compatible tires that are approved for use on hookless rims.

The Giant SLR 1 Wheelsystem has a maximum system weight limit of 129 kg (284 lbs). This limit includes the rider, the bicycle, and any gear or accessories being carried.

The wider 22.4mm inner rim width is designed to support higher-volume road tires. This creates a more stable tire profile, allowing you to run lower tire pressures for improved grip, comfort, and rolling efficiency without sacrificing cornering precision.
