The YBB is a soft-tail design featuring a small elastomer spring integrated into the seat stays. It provides about 20mm of travel, which is just enough to take the edge off washboard gravel and chatter without the weight or complexity of a full-suspension system.

Moots prioritizes long-term serviceability and reliability. A threaded bottom bracket is much easier to maintain, less prone to creaking over time, and can be serviced by almost any bike shop without specialized press tools.

3D printing allows for a more precise, integrated design that ensures perfect alignment for your brake calipers. This reduces the likelihood of brake rub and ensures consistent, reliable stopping power compared to traditional welded mounts.

The Routt 45 is versatile enough for both. While it has the geometry and compliance for fast gravel racing, the durable titanium frame and the comfort provided by the YBB suspension make it an excellent choice for long-distance bikepacking and all-day adventures.

Titanium is incredibly durable and corrosion-resistant, meaning it doesn't require the same level of care as steel or carbon fiber. You can simply wipe the frame down with a damp cloth to keep it clean, and it will not rust or degrade even if you ride in wet or salty conditions.
