ENVE Fray All Road Frameset Chassis

The Fray is optimized for tires between 31mm and 35mm, which provides the best balance of handling and speed. However, it can accommodate tires up to 40mm if you plan on tackling rougher, mixed-surface terrain.

While both bikes share similar aero tubing profiles, the Fray is designed specifically for all-road versatility. It features more relaxed geometry and increased tire clearance compared to the race-focused Melee, making it better suited for long-distance endurance rides and varied road surfaces.

The Fray chassis is sold as a frameset, which includes the frame, fork, headset, and the proprietary integrated cockpit components. You will need to select your preferred ENVE handlebar, IN-Route stem, aero seatpost, and wheelset to complete the build.

The Cargo Bay is an integrated storage compartment located in the downtube that offers 0.6 liters of internal space. It is designed to securely hold your ride essentials, like a tube, CO2, or multi-tool, keeping them protected and out of your jersey pockets.

The Fray is an all-road bike, meaning it excels on pavement and light gravel or hard-packed dirt. If your riding involves technical singletrack or deep, loose gravel, you might find the ENVE MOG a more appropriate choice.

The Fray offers a high level of fit customization with seven different frame sizes and four distinct fork rakes. This allows you to dial in the handling characteristics and riding position to match your specific body measurements and riding style.
