Key Equipment Backcountry Repair Kit

The kit is designed primarily for standard splitboard boot hardware, but it is best suited for boots utilizing common M4 and M5 screw patterns. While it covers most major manufacturers, we recommend checking your specific boot's hardware configuration before heading out.

This kit focuses on the hardware components themselves—screws, buckles, and straps—rather than the tools. You will still need a multi-tool or a dedicated screwdriver to perform the actual repairs in the field.

The sticker patch is designed to protect your boot liners from abrasion caused by loose or protruding hardware. It is a quick, temporary fix to prevent further damage to your gear until you can perform a permanent repair.

The buckles and straps are designed to be compatible with a wide range of splitboard boot systems, but they are not universal for every single model on the market. They are intended to address the most common failure points found on standard touring setups.

The components themselves are durable, but the kit is not waterproof. It is best to store the kit inside a dry bag or a dedicated pocket within your pack to prevent corrosion of the metal fasteners over time.
