Shimano Ultegra Chain

While this chain is specifically engineered for Shimano's Hyper-Glide 10-speed systems, it is generally compatible with most standard 10-speed road drivetrains from other major manufacturers. However, for the crispest shifting performance, we recommend sticking to a full Shimano setup.

The perforations are strategically placed to reduce weight without compromising the structural integrity of the steel plates. You get the benefit of a lighter drivetrain without sacrificing the long-term wear resistance expected from an Ultegra-level component.

This chain uses a connecting pin system for installation. You will need a chain tool to properly size the chain and secure the pin.

The Ultegra-level chain features chromized rivet pins and specialized zinc-alloy plating, which significantly improve corrosion resistance and overall lifespan compared to entry-level models. It also offers smoother, quieter shifting under load thanks to the refined chamfering on the plates.

This chain is specifically optimized for road bike drivetrains and geometry. While it may physically fit a 10-speed mountain bike setup, it is not designed to handle the specific torque and mud-shedding requirements of off-road riding.
