A semi-integrated headset, often called zero-stack, means the bearing cups press into the frame headtube, but the bearings themselves sit inside the frame rather than being exposed. This design offers a cleaner look and better protection for the bearings compared to traditional external cup headsets.

The Twistr uses sealed angular contact bearings, which are designed to be low-maintenance and highly durable. While they are sealed against the elements, they are not intended to be opened or serviced; if they eventually wear out, you would simply replace the cartridge.

AL7075 is a high-strength aluminum alloy that offers excellent durability and resistance to deformation under load. Using this material for the crown race ensures a precise, long-lasting interface between your fork and the headset bearings.

Yes, the kit includes the top cover, crown race, top cap, forged stainless steel bolt, and a star nut. You will just need a headset press to install the cups into your frame and a star nut setter to install the nut into your fork steerer tube.

The Twistr features a CNC-machined AL6061 top cover specifically designed with integrated seals. This creates a tighter barrier against moisture, grit, and road grime than basic headsets, which helps extend the lifespan of the internal bearings.
