SRAM PCXX1 Eagle Chain

While this chain is optimized for SRAM Eagle ecosystems, it is generally compatible with other 12-speed mountain bike drivetrains. However, for the best shifting performance and wear characteristics, we recommend using it specifically with SRAM Eagle cassettes and chainrings.

The chain includes an Eagle PowerLock connector, which allows for tool-free installation. You will still need a chain breaker tool to size the chain to the correct length for your specific bike setup.

The PCXX1 chain features hollow pins and specialized coatings that significantly reduce weight and improve wear resistance. These upgrades provide a smoother, quieter ride and a longer lifespan compared to the heavier, solid-pin construction found on entry-level models.

To maximize the life of your cassette and chainrings, we recommend checking your chain for wear every 500 to 1,000 miles. Replacing the chain as soon as it shows signs of stretch will prevent premature wear on your more expensive drivetrain components.

SRAM officially recommends using a new PowerLock connector every time you break the chain. While some riders reuse them, the locking mechanism is designed for a single secure engagement to ensure maximum safety and reliability.
